My daughter learned about this place from a Keith Lee review so we came to check it out. The birria tacos were fantastic! Make sure you request the consome because it was the best I've ever had. Also the birria fries were divine. The fries are battered and crispy. The tortilla chips were freshly made and perfectly salted. They bring out 3 different salsas to go with the meal that we're all very tasty! Rosie was our server and she was amazing! Very friendly and personable. We will be back!

This place is a total hidden gem! We've been here twice now after leaving Cowboy Christmas and the servers are so great and the food is amazing. I've had quesabirria tacos both times and they're real deal. Don't let the location deter you.

Came here from Instagram and it did not disappoint :) People have said that wait times can be a little longer due to the fact that it is a small team (possibly mom and daughter and maybe a few others), so keep that in mind. I tend to be pretty patient with my food (within reason of course), so this did not bother me so much, but if you're in a hurry, you might want to order ahead or adjust accordingly. We opted for the barbacoa on the turnstile and chicken nachos among a couple other things, and it was pretty delicious. Yes, the portion was a little small for the price, but all things considered (meaning within the larger context of Vegas for a repeat visitor like myself) it didn't scream scammy or particulary overpriced. Service was wonderful, as despite waiting some time for the food, they checked on us frequently and made sure water, chips, and salsa were replenished, as well as ensuring we were comfortable. This does feel like a little hole-in-the-wall spot as far as decor and ambiance goes, but if that bothers you, keep yo ass on the strip. Why you leaving Las Vegas Blvd anyways if that's the vibe fam? Vegas got so many gentrified Latino fusion options, you don't need to be leaving the tourist trap looking for a taco. It feels like one of your local hood spots back home that you take your girl to cause the food slap, but not for the first date lol. Word to the wise, if she can't eat at places like this...she not a keeper bro. I enjoy places like this because they feel much more homey and authentic to me, although, I feel like if you are Hispanic (as evidenced by some Yelp reviews, IG comments, and the like lol), you probably gone have something to say, as this seems like a plain, but very comfortable and well-established business. It really be your own people fam XD (keep in mind, I am not Hispanic lmao) *As a side note, why not just go to ya momma's or auntie's house and ask them to cook, this seems so much easier lmfao (this coming from someone who goes out they way to only eat certain foods at my momma's house bc no matter where I go, they COULD NEVER lol) Overall, I can't say this is the BEST, top-tier Mexican food, but it does feel like it satisfies the value you get for what you're paying. Disclaimer: I'm writing this review much after the fact and can't remember all the other items we got, but despite this, still recommend.

This place was great! The food was delicous. We had the guacamole, barabacoa, and al pastor tacos along with the mango cocktail. Everything was tasty with a good size portion. The service was great. Super friendly! A cozy feel with some good tunes. I definitely reccomend.

Hole in the wall type restaurant. Food was pretty amazing! Meat was very flavorful and prices were very reasonable. We got the pastor on the slicker which comes with 4 mini quesadillas in addition to corn tortillas. We also got the asada nachos which were very yummy. Service was a little slow as it was just one lady working, but she definitely did her best to get everything to us in a timely fashion.

Very respectable 4 stars! Kept seeing the feeds on IG for the tiny La Barbacoa vertical grill that comes to your table for service! Wifey heard from a co-worker this place was good so off we went one weekend to the other side of town! Upon getting inside La Barbacoa, for the lunch hour it seemed a bit slow. No matter though, let's go! Sat down and was served right away. Complimentary chips & salsa! Wifey & I ordered: *Trompo Azteca (Pastor-Pork for 2) - $29.99 *Nachos Aztecas with Asada - $13.99 Oh you KNOW I had to get in on that Trompo Azteca! Bring that mini vertical grill to my table, stat! Oh and they did! What a fun way to serve their Trompo Azteca! I only wish it was a real grill that kept your meat and tortillas heated up! Too bad it was just a candle or LED candle in the back grill compartment that made it light up LOL! But A+ for creativity! The Trompo Azteca was delicious! Very good pastor flavor, meat wasn't dry at all. Make sure when you use your knife to cut down the meat pile, you get a tiny piece of pineapple as well to put on your tortilla when making a taco! Fun to make - and just as fun to eat! The trompo with the pineapple, pickled onions, fresh cilantro & onion, and a dash of salsa on top...what a heavenly bite! My only complaint is that as you let the trompo sit longer on the vertical grill, the quicker it cools down. By my last taco, the meat was on the cold side. Still good though! The Nachos Aztecas with Asada were yummy too! Their house-made chips are on the thinner side which I like. There was an ample amount of cheese & asada on each layer so every bite had goodies on them! And again, their pickled onions added to these nachos added a nice flavor punch! Great eats, especially with a cerveza! Service was fast & friendly, and we got a refill of tortillas for our trompo no charge. Great portions for the price! If it works for the likes of Keith Lee then it works for me! La Barbacoa we shall return!

Recommended and WOW! What a great place. All the food was amazing and fresh. Not the greatest neighborhood, but worth it! Family owned. I had the Carne Asada Nachos Chicken Tacos Chips and Salsa! Can't wait to go back!

Authentic Mexican food! I'm not a huge fan of barbacoa, but I had the Birria and I must say it was delicious! We also ordered the chilaquiles verdes with steak and chicken, and were impressed with them as well! The service was great, our servers were amazing at recommending desserts and not to mention.... They serve cafe de olla, which is one of my favorite ways to prepare coffee. The location isn't the greatest, but I would definitely visit again!
